Mum's Pasta Sauce

I know this is nothing to do with fashion or beauty, however I have to share my mum's pasta sauce recipe. It is so simple to make and so tasty, and also a lot healthier than using a jar of sauce. She recently taught me how to make it and I can't believe I didn't learn sooner.

You will need:
  • 1 carton of Passata
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 2 frozen garlic cubes (or 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 frozen chilli cube
  • Oregano
  • Basil
  • Thyme
 What you have to do:
  • Pour the passata into a pan
  • Throw in all the ingredients
  • Mix all together and heat until boiling
  • Turn heat down low and simmer for 10 minutes
And that's it! So simple! If you want a creamier sauce, add 2 tablespoons of Primula light cheese spread into the sauce when you're adding all the ingredients.

MUA

Normally, I am very impressed with MUA products. I am always pleasantly surprised whenever I buy one,as for the price, the quality is excellent. Recently I bought the MUA Beauty Balm in Light. I have never used a Beauty Balm before so I might be expecting too much, but after hearing so many people rave about them, I thought I'd give this one a go as this brand never disappoints me, however this did. On the packaging it says it 'primes, smooths, conceals'. It does make my skin feel a lot smoother when it is applied underneath my L'oreal True Match Minerals Foundation, however, it has a very thick consistency and is very hard to blend. I have also noticed no benefits to how well my makeup stays in place throughout the day, and it does absolutely nothing to conceal blemishes. With this product you definitely get the quality you pay for, which is not a lot.

MUA Blusher Perfection Cream Blusher Yummy
MUA Eyeshadow Palette Heaven And Earth

There are other MUA products I absolutely adore, though. For example, the Blush Perfection Cream Blusher in Yummy. I have found with other cream blushers that when I apply it, it drags my foundation with it, but with this all my makeup stays perfectly in place. It gives a very natural looking flush to the cheek and gives them a lovely glow.

Another of my favourite palettes is the Heaven and Earth palette. It is a lovely set of nudes. I first fell in love with it when my sister bought it, as soon as I saw it I went out and bought it. I am now touching pan on a fair few of the colours, and it is definitely a product I will be
repurchasing.

So that is all for my first proper blog post, I'm sorry none of the pictures are my own, but my camera has been sent off for repairs as it isn't recognising any memory card.
Thanks for reading.

An introduction

Hi guys,
This is my first ever blog post so I thought I'd do an introduction of myself. My name is Danielle Collins, I am 19 years of age, and I work at McDonald's (fabulous job, I know).

Last February (2013) I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease stage 5, and had to leave the fashion course I was on at college due to being in and out of hospital, however I will do a blog post on my condition in the future.

My main interests are fashion, beauty, drawing and photography. I also spend a lot of time reading, watching youtube videos and reading beauty blogs. I am keeping this blog post quite short as I am rather unwell today and it is my first post, however I hope you enjoy future posts and I'll be trying to post once a week on a Monday from now on, and occassionally I'll do an additional post too.

Thanks for reading.
Lots of love.
